Chavurah Chadasha
The goal of Chavurah Chadasha is to significantly deepen and intensify parental and children’s engagement in Jewish living through chavurah (group) study. This program integrates family-based learning and hands-on experiences in the context of the home and synagogue through communal Shabbat experiences, worship, holiday celebrations, Hebrew language, Jewish values, history and culture, Tikkun Olam projects and a field trip and Shabbaton (retreat) to foster Jewish ideas and family memories. Each Chavurah Chadasha group is made up of 10-12 families who study together. The advantages of Hebrew home tutoring are many – intimate intense teaching, community building by studying with three other families, a stress-free, comfortable home environment and flexible schedules.
