Beth El Congregation is excited to announce the creation of a Remembrance Garden made possible by a generous donation from the newly established Janice B. Altman L’dor Vador Fund.
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, members of our Beth El community are invited to attend the official unveiling of the garden, as we memorialize those lost on and since the October 7th massacre.
Located between the Kuntz Patio and Mosaic of Belonging, at the rear entrance to Beth El, the garden features a walking path surrounded by a variety of white flowers, memorial stones and 245 Israeli flags that represent each of the hostages. The garden will include natural stone benches providing space to remember and reflect.
To ensure every member of our community has an opportunity to view the garden and write a personalized message on one of the memorial stones, we have included a schedule below:
If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Amanda Beitman at amanda@bethelbalto.com
This peaceful haven offers a place for our community to gather, remember, and find solace. It is a testament to our commitment to remembrance, healing, and the enduring strength of our faith and community.
We look forward to seeing everyone on October 6 rain or shine.
We look forward to sharing more information on upcoming programming and special projects each year supported by the newly established Janice B. Altman L’dor Vador Fund.
