Beth El Congregation’s AED Program

In the past few weeks, we have upgraded and increased the number of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) throughout the building. These devices are intended to save lives and help stabilize a person suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest until emergency crews arrive.

As part of this upgrade we have doubled the number of devices in the building to be sure that they are located in easily accessible locations. AED’s are now located in:

  • Baum Board Room
  • Offit Auditorium
  • Berman-Rubin Sanctuary
  • Gorn Chapel
  • Pauline Mash School for Early Childhood Education
  • The hallway outside of the Myers Auditorium

We are currently in the process of coordinating training for our staff. In the coming months we will offer both CPR and AED training for the entire congregation.

We are truly thankful for our Sisterhood and Men’s Club, as our sisterhood has funded two devices, and our Men’s Club has funded one. We are also appreciative of Stuart Dankner and Steve Silverman, both of whom were instrumental in making sure the equipment was upgraded.
